What to do?
The first aid kit is located on the side of the tournament desk. You’ll also find this instruction sheet here, which includes the shift schedule and the phone numbers of all First Aiders on duty. You’ll be provided with a band to wear on your upper arm – please put it on at the beginning of your shift and hand it over to the next First Aider at the end of your shift. If after 5 minutes past your shift the next volunteer has not arrived, you should inform the Manager Volunteers.
You’re free to participate in whatever you prefer to do, party, dance competitions, workshops, or enjoy some food, as long as you remain sober and present at the venue, wearing your armband and responding if we call for First Aid.
There will always be two First Aiders on duty, so you won’t be alone, and you’ll have a partner to assist with CPR if needed. If you're comfortable, you can discuss with your co-first aider how to divide the shift or tasks, which we imagine can be especially helpful during late-night shifts. However, it’s important that both of you feel confident taking responsibility as the sole First Aider if you decide to split duties.
What materials do I have?
This page shows the contents of the First Aid kit. Additionally, cold spray, instant cold packs, sports tape, paracetamol, and blister plasters are added.
If you use something, please write it down afterward, so we can restock it.
