How to get there
🚙 Car
The venue is conveniently located near the A10 ring road.
Parking is available in close proximity to the venue. It is free during weekends, and €2.80/h on Friday and Monday from 09:00 - 19:00. Please note that parking is at your own risk and it is strongly recommended not to leave any valuables in your car.
🚅 Public transport
From the Sloterdijk train station, it is about a 15-minute walk to the venue.
It is also possible to continue on with a bus or metro.
The bus stop is just 50 meters away, and the Isolatorweg metro station is a 300 meters walk.
Rooms
CanDance Studios has a big, sturdy wooden floor ready for our dino dance-offs. There are three separate rooms:
- The largest room will host our dancing parties, competitions, and workshops — plenty of space for even the biggest T-Rex to twirl.
- The smallest room is where you can get your food: refuel—snacks on Friday evening, breakfast and lunch all day, and dinner on Saturday evening.
- The middle room will have tables to eat the food you just picked up, and lots of space to chill, relax, and have a good chat with your fellow dancing dinos.
Accommodation
REGISTRATION CLOSED
As November 10th, 2024, the registration for the EFDD is closed. This also means that we are no longer accepting any hotel reservations. Those on the waiting list will be contacted if a spot becomes available and a suitable hotel room is available.
We’re all getting a bit older, and our dinosaur bones are not equipped anymore to sleep on a squeaky air mattress in a sleeping hall. Most of us prefer a proper bed and more hours of quality sleep now, so we have arranged a deal with the hotel across the street from the dancing hall. You can indicate your interest in this offer on the registration form. We can accommodate most, but not all participants here.
Package deal hotel
We have reserved rooms for you at the IBIS Amsterdam City West Hotel across the street from the venue. We can accommodate 150 dinos here!
You can let us know via the registration form if you would like to make use of this offer. In this form, you can also let us know who you share your room with. Sleeping alone is also possible, but that will double the price. After the lottery, we'll create a room assignment plan and inform you who you'll be rooming with.
Prices
Those prices are based on shared rooms and are on top of the participation fee. Most rooms are double or twin, some are triple rooms. Breakfast is not included, but you can have breakfast/brunch at the venue on Saturday and Sunday. If you choose not to share your room, the prices are double.
Package deal prices
For 2 nights (Friday - Sunday): 129 euro per person
For 3 nights (Friday - Monday): 179 euro per person
(City tax not included)
Additionally, you will need to pay the city tax on-site. Since it is an individual charge, we cannot handle it for you.
Please let us know your preference in the registration form:
- Twin, Double or Triple room
- You can also indicate one or two roommates in the subscription form, or you can let us pick a roommate for you
- Please ensure your roommate preference is mutual. Both of you must enter each other's names on the form.
- We will inform you after each lottery round whether you have been assigned a room, specifying the room type and your roommate(s).

Hotels
There are some 10+ hotels in the area around the Sloterdijk train station. However, please note that the prices can vary greatly, and all of them are a 10-20 minute walk from the venue.
AirBnB
As this is an industrial area, there are not many AirBnB options in the direct vicinity.
